Opening Worship is Sunday, August 22 at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will follow. All Springfield college students/parents/alumni/faculty and friends are welcome to join our annual "back to school" event, on the front lawn of the Lutheran Student Center at 848 South National, across from Missouri State University. A full week of activities are planned for the first week of classes. Join us on Facebook at Lutheran Student Center or LSC Alumni to stay connected. We meet weekly at the LSC on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m., but drop by anytime. Plan to stop by and meet our students and learn more about about our ministry.
Every third Saturday, the Youth of St. Pauls volunteer at the Webster County Food Pantry from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Junior Youth and Senior Youth rotate volunteering monthly. It is a great way to Serve others in our community. Please encourage and support our youth to be involved, we have a great time!
St. Paul's, in partnership with Thrivent Financial, is hosting a FREE Protect Your Identity Seminar on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the church. Two sessions are offered, 10;00a.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. The featured guest speaker is Danette Padgett, Webster County Prosecutor. Light refreshments will be served and document shredders will be available. To secure your spot in either session, please RSVP by Monday, September 13, 2010, to Sue Croll, (417) 882-9334.
The ladies of the Altar Guild extend an invitation to the ladies of our congregation to join them in taking care of the altar and in preparation of Holy Communion. Please contact Ziola Heithold at 859-7400 for additional information.
The new flower chart for 2010 is now posted near the church office. Please sign up your special date for flowers to adorn our altar in recognition of a special person or event.
The CWF group meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Bonnie Bertoldie at 1371 Plank School Rd., Marshfield. For more information call 417-473-6001, cell 417-830-4570.
The Youth Group are helping to pick up the Sanctuary immediately following services each week. When several help, it only takes a few minutes. Please make an opportunity to recognize their efforts and say thanks for their service to our church family.
First-time visitors are now being given a small gift sack when they arrive. When you see someone with one of these sacks, please welcome them and encourage them to visit us again. If you bring a first-time visitor, please make sure they sign the Guest Register and receive their gift.
